CULTURE

The spirit of Buckeye Pacific is:

  • Entrepreneurial — we explore and establish new areas of business
  • Hardworking — we deliver creative solutions to our customers with integrity
  • Hungry for improvement — our ambition to do better is ongoing
  • Collaborative and team-oriented — when one person succeeds, we all succeed
  • Fun & lively — we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Ping pong in the break room, anyone?

Activities & Events

We believe in working hard and having fun while doing it. We find reasons to celebrate multiple times a year, whether it’s a chili cook-off in the office or a weekend away at the Salishan Resort on the Oregon Coast.

PHILANTHROPY

We prioritize giving back to organizations that we care about. Last year, Buckeye donated $18,000 to local and national non-profits, including the Oregon Food Bank, the Returning Veterans Project, and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Terry Simpson Award

Terry Simpon was a trader at Buckeye Pacific who demonstrated honesty, integrity, and work ethic. Each year the trading staff at Buckeye select one individual who represents the characteristics of Terry Simpson. The winner of the award chooses an oganization to receive a portion of Buckeye’s charitable funds.

The winner of the 2019 Terry Simpson Award, Justin Boyer, chose the Returning Veterans Project as his non-profit of choice. The Returning Veterans Project provides free mental and physical health services to post-9/11 veterans and their families.

Volunteering

Employees of Buckeye Pacific regularly volunteer as a group at the Oregon Food Bank. Our goal is to organize a quarterly volunteering opportunity, usually at the OFB Food Repack center.

CAREERS

Are you competitive? Have you ever wanted to be a stock broker or trade commodities? Does the energy found on a trading floor or the challenge of owning your own business appeal to you?

A career at Buckeye is unlike any other, where you are rewarded for innovation, hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit.
